A few days ago, we went to Disney Garden of Wonder at Floral Fantasy, which is at Singapore’s Gardens by the Bay. This is a smaller dome which houses “large-scale topiary and floral sculptures of beloved Disney characters”.
Characters include “Disney and Pixar favourites such as Mickey Mouse & Friends, Winnie the Pooh, The Little Mermaid, Woody and Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story”. There’s also a segment with the characters at Singaporean locations like a kopitiam (coffee house) and seafood restaurant, doing very local things like eating durian and getting bitten by a chilli crab (not a common occurrence).
The floral sculptures were actually very good, in that they looked just like how the animated characters look, which is pretty amazing considering they’re curated from plants. This is inspired by the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, an annual event that takes place at Epcot in Walt Disney World, at Orlando, Florida. We haven’t been to the festival but would be nice to go one day.
Crowd situation
We went on a Sunday afternoon and the crowds were there. It wasn’t packed, but not sparse either, so a moderate crowd. This means that while you’ll be able to take photos with the sculptures because they’re close, you won’t be able to take photos of the whole area with no one else in the photos. Nonetheless, guests were courteous enough to not hog the sculptures, so everyone queued to take turns to take their photos.
Merch
As you leave the floral area, you’ll exit into a gift shop - which is open to the public without the need for tickets. Being Disney fans, we were excited to see all the merch available, and these were uniquely Singapore. You can also get them online on the official stores, but it’s pretty cool to have Disney merch with a Singapore twist, you can’t get them anywhere else!
Planning your visit
Do note that this Floral Fantasy is a distance away from the main areas of Gardens by the Bay with the super trees and the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest. This is nearer to the Marina Bay Sands buildings. The nearest carpark is the Bayfront Plaza carpark, while the nearest MRT station is Bayfront.
This is a ticketed event, with different prices for Singapore residents and non-residents. The event runs from 1 December to 31 March, 2025, and is open from 10am to 9pm. The website suggests spending 1 hour at the event, but we ended up finishing in less than that amount of time.

For people living in Singapore, it sometimes feels like Disney experiences on this island are few and far between. Maybe in reality it’s not that bad, but I suppose this perception comes from the fact that there isn’t any Disneyland park in Singapore (even though there could have been! But that’s another story for another day). This feeling might change in December 2025 when Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Adventure sets sail from Singapore.
So this feels like one of the rare Disney experiences in Singapore for residents to enjoy.
