Review: Agatha All Along Episodes 1 and 2

This post is spoiler free for Agatha All Along, but not so for Wanda.

Disney Plus

It’s been three years since WandaVision was out (2021 - how time flies!) and to me, that’s still one of the best Marvel shows out there. The first couple of episodes were confusing yet entertaining, enough to keep me interested to continue watching to find out what on earth was going on! It later developed into something bigger and connected to what’s been happening in the wider MCU so that was awesome.

Before this post becomes all about WandaVision, Agatha All Along continues on from the end of WandaVision, with Agatha having lost her powers and seemingly stuck in a fake reality created by Wanda. Also, we’re still wondering what happened to Wanda after the events of Doctor Strange in The Multiverse of Madness. Is she dead from being crushed from the falling rocks? Personally, I don’t think so, but we’ll see.

The first two episodes of Agatha All Along feel quite similar to the start of WandaVision, with them both stuck in a made-up reality. I’m not fully certain whether to see Agatha as a protagonist or antagonist, looks like she’s done lots of bad things over the hundreds of years she’s been around. She was the latter in WandaVision but the former in this series (but of course, it’s her own series). The show has a more horror-esque vibe but not in a skin-crawling way, just something more halloween-ish about the show than other Marvel outings. Overall, I would say it’s entertaining and worth checking out. Personally, I’m looking forward to what happens in the next episode.
